Description
Rimonabant is an anorectic anti-obesity drug. Rimonabant is a selective cannaboid-1 receptor(CB1) antagonist that inhibit the pharmacological effects of cannaboid agonists on vitro and in vivo.
The endocannaboid system is a physiological system present in the brain and peripheral tissues that affects energy balance, glucose and lipid metabolism and body weight, and in the neurons of the meso-limbic system that modulates the intake of highly palatable, sweet or fatty foods.

Indications
Rimoslim Tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise for the treatment of obese patients (BMI > 30) or for overweight patients (BMI > 27) wit associated risk factors such as type 2 diabetes or dyslipidaemia.
